Blue Devil Productions is proud to present Brother Ali and special guest No Bird Sing. The artists are scheduled to perform at 8pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 in the Great Hall located on the upper level of the Memorial Student Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Home grown in the Midwest himself, Brother Ali's rhymes have been booming the streets of Minneapolis since 1999. His passionate poetic lyrics fused with hip hop beats create a tune that make you want to shake your booty and contemplate life all in the same three minutes. Ali raps touch upon vital issues such as racism, family ties, self image and corruption. His latest album, us, "forth one of this year's gems, one that is too good to remain beneath the surface...and give Us one more reason to stay up with the underground." - Beta HipHop DX No Bird Sing is a three man hip hop amusable raining from Saint Paul, MN. The three musicians: Eric Blair, Robert Mulrennan, and Graham O'Brien create beautifully moving songs with the fusion of poetic rap and epic guitar riffs. "Just the musical makeup of the group is gutsy: essentially a hip-hop band built on the raw sounds of one guitar, one microphone, drums and little else." - Star Tribune Doors open at 7pm.
